Interesting Cubase 6 Promo

A few months ago I switched my main recording DAW over to Cubase 6 and I have been spending time getting to know it ready for some new projects I want start soon. I found this video on my search through youtube and it shows Cubase being used by Gabry Ponte. I thought it was a cool video.

Korg Monotribe Demo Video

Here is a video showing some more sound from Korg's excellent new Monotribe. This is basically an analog electribe in the same vein as their Monotron. It sounds really nice and is real analog as opposed to an emulation. The filters sound really nice.

The other day I dug out an old record for a listen. This was Morton Subotnicks, Silver Apples of the Moon. This record came out in 1967 and if you ask me, it still sounds very modern and fresh. I think Warp Records could quite easily release something like this today.

Circuit bending as a sonic art form has been around for quite a few years now and was pioneered by a guy called Reed Ghazala (http://www.anti-theory.com). Circuit bending involves getting old children toys and electronic devices that make sound and rewiring the insides so they make noises that were not intended by the original manufacturers.
