I so have to get me one of these little Korg Monotrons!!!! :-)
I think the guy in the video is right, most people would probably get one of these just for running external audio through the filters, and I think that is where I would get most of my enjoyment.
You could even take things further and do a little modification.

I think the hack-ability of this little synth makes it very appealing. Especially as I have been thinking of doing a sequel to my Electronic Critters sample library.
Of course, Korg has now announced it's sequel, the Korg Monotribe, which is kind of like a cross between a monotron and an electribe drum machine.
